The chair for a dollar a day
Today my computer froze after coming back from the doctor who took one look at my tooth to know wat was worng. Even though I had dentist PurpleWiki installed I knew what was wrong before I went to him. After confirming my what I thought the thing that is bugging me out was the fact that my whole day was ruined beacuse the pain was still here. Pounding away and the pills I took didn’t even work which made it all the worse.
4 Steps Closer to Freedom - Your Juggling Act
If I were to ask you what you are currently juggling, you would probably throw your hands up in the air and perhaps break out in a cold sweat. The question alone often raises stress levels. So let’s take a look at how facing that gruesome question can actually be the first step toward reducing that stress!
1. What are you juggling? Take a moment to jot down a list of some general areas you’re currently juggling, leaving 5 or 6 lines blank under each one. Now begin to add specific tasks in each category. While nothing has changed, you will begin to feel more in control, just by putting your “files” in order.
2. What’s expected who’s holding the gun? We are not always able to assign our own responsibilities, and it can be very difficult to differentiate between self-appointed tasks and those expected by others. Awareness in this area is critical to moving toward informed choices.
Take a careful look at your juggling list and determine who is controlling each assignment. Have you imposed it upon yourself as necessary, or is there really someone holding a gun to your head?
I am reminded of an elderly friend who regularly missed out on gatherings of her “gal pals” because she had to scrub her kitchen. When I questioned her need to wash both floor and ceiling weekly, she would only say she’d always done it. She continued protesting until finally she admitted she didn’t remember why. How many of us are likewise prisoners of our own tyranny?
3. Is it really necessary? To complete our examination, we need to be able to distinguish the necessity and the desirability of completing each task. We need to become accustomed to assessing new items as they arise and assigning each a designation. Take a few minutes to add a designation to each task on your list, determining and then marking each as (N)ecessary, (D)esirable, (H)abitual, or (R)ecreational.
You will probably find the majority of tasks designated as necessary on your first pass. If so, look again, and be honest with yourself. It’s difficult to think that we may be struggling to handle tasks that aren’t necessary at all. We tend to validate our choices by convincing ourselves the things we do with our schedules are vitally necessary. But be candid - there is no right or wrong. We’re simply increasing our awareness of how we spend or waste our time, and the reasons behind the choices.
Let’s look at my elderly friend again. Once she identified the tyrant in her life, she was free to determine the necessity of her stringent cleaning schedule and thereafter, she was rarely at home, having released herself from her own expectation.
4. What’s the vision? The most important element in perfecting your juggling act is vision and accountability to it. If you can’t picture it, how will you know if and when you attain it? This first step is deceptively simple, but without it, the rest of the process quickly collapses. No expectation is realistic without a clear and personal definition of success and failure.
The dictionary describes failure as, a state of inability to perform a normal function; a fracturing or giving way under stress; a falling short; deterioration, decay. But it’s even easier than that! Failure is simply an attempt that did not meet all the specified qualifications. It is not only a step closer to realization of the vision, but often presents a new and better vision. Many of the wildly successful inventions emerged from what didn’t work along the road to some long forgotten vision. Chocolate chip cookies, Coca Cola, Post-it Notes, Scotchgard, X-rays, and even the worldwide web are notable examples.
Take a few moments and define what failure at your juggling act would look like, outward appearances - a personal portrait of someone who has not achieved it. Perhaps this reveals a snapshot of your life as you currently perceive it. For maximum revelation, don’t consider your answer too carefully. Then, what does failure at the juggling act feel like, the invisible elements, sleeplessness, nervousness, irritability, etc.
Webster defines success as, favorable or desired outcome, accomplishment, achievement, attainment, triumph, or victory. But success is also very personal, and must be defined personally, and specific to the circumstances.
Take a few minutes to define the elements of success for your juggling act. How would you appear to those around you if you were juggling successfully? Paint a very clear picture of a person who has achieved it. Then ask yourself how it feels to be successfully maintaining your rhythm, the invisible elements, serenity, sleep, inner confidence. It’s important to capture your genuine feelings, so don’t work it out mentally.
Whatever our definition of success and failure, we are all too ready to embrace anything less than perfection and call it quits. That attitude rarely succeeds at anything. If we are to recognize success when it arrives, we must change our perceptions of failure. Experience, which always includes failures of one sort or another, plus an attitude of perseverance, will eventually lead to solid, lasting success.
If you will give attention to each of these questions and be candid in your answers, you will be well positioned to move forward, making the kind of decisions about your time and talents that will free you to have a greater impact on your surroundings. Soon you will be ready to take your juggling act on the road!

How To Find Pure Hoodia Gordonii
Hoodia Gordonii is a South African cactus that has taken the weight loss industry by storm. This is mostly due to 60 Minutes doing a piece about it in November of 2005. Since then, the market has become flooded with Hoodia products. The problem is that Hoodia Gordonii is very rare. It only grows in the Kalahari desert in South Africa. The huge demand for the little cactus has quickly out grown the supply.
That is why an estimated 80% of so called Hoodia products on the market are counterfeit or so diluted that they are ineffective. The high demand is because real pure Hoodia is an excellent appetite suppressant that really works. The problem faced with potential buyers is how to determine the real products from the fakes.
I began a mission this year to lose 100 pounds and I am taking Hoodia to help control my eating. I did a lot of research before I purchased any products because real pure Hoodia Gordonii is not cheap and I don’t have money to waste on junk. I am keeping an online journal of my weight loss efforts so that other people interested in losing weight can see what I am doing and use the same techniques.
I have a page on my blog that has the results of all my research about Hoodia and how to determine the fakes from the Pure Hoodia Gordonii. I explain how Hoodia works and some of the known side effects. I also make a couple of recommendations and talk about the product that I have been using. I have lost 25 lbs already this year and am on track to make it 100 lbs by the end of the year.
The Swan on the Chopping Block
When Anderson wrote “The Ugly Duckling”, he was imagining a natural transformation from awkward youth to mature beauty. His vision did not include a meat cleaver. The new network show, “The Swan” is a travesty on so many levels that it is difficult to know where to begin. There is nothing wrong with using cosmetic surgery to correct a definitive flaw but to turn yourself over to megalomaniacs with scalpels is cause for more therapy than these women are receiving.
It is unconscionable that television should even consider anything so potentially damaging. However, the women who allow themselves to be the golden goose (to mix metaphors) are equally to blame. What sane women would with good conscience turn herself over to strangers without having any input into what is being done.
The Swan reflects society’s superficial attitude towards cosmetic surgery as a cure all for everything from natural aging to an unhealthy lifestyle. It is not enough that millions of baby boomers are already flocking to cosmetic surgeons to graft an artificial spring over a natural winter, now they are fiercely promoting the idea to much younger women even in those in their 20s who admittedly should look far better than they do but could substitute restraint for butchery to improve themselves without outside help. Taking individual responsibility is a far healthier solution to the problem
A healthy person always looks 10 to 20 years younger than her peers. While many women would give anything for beauty, there is one thing that should never be sacrificed –health. Health and beauty are connected vessels: if you steal from one, you steal from the other.
Your inner and outer body are two sides of the same coin. If the colors and forms of your body are changing outwardly, do not be mistaken, for they are also changing inwardly. If surgery is needed on the outside, it might be an indication that surgery will soon be needed on the organs inside as well. Often, the exterior flaws that can be corrected by cosmetic surgery are the result of much more serious internal problems. If the cause is not addressed, the problem will recur.
Cosmetic surgery will not make you younger. Any surgery drastically ages your body. In fact, biologically, you will get older. Facelifts and associated procedures do take years off your face temporarily but add years to your body permanently. Is it worth undergoing 10 to 12 hours of consecutive procedures, exhausting your body, and endangering your life for superficial changes that can largely be obtained through a healthy, disciplined lifestyle?
Think about the images of how the skin was separated from the underlying tissue; how it was lifted back and tightened; how excess skin was trimmed away; and the ear-to-ear incision was closed with surgical staples. Once seen, it is impossible to forget the sight of how the skin was torn or burned, how fat was sucked up, and how foreign materials were implanted.
Since beauty in its natural state requires no force or coercion, the procedures are so gross that it’s difficult to perceive the final result as artistic. Beauty is incompatible with pain and horror. No matter how widely accepted cosmetic surgery is, it will never be separated from the terrible ordeal the subject endured.
Facelifts do not last forever and the negative effects cannot be completely undone. I am asking you to give a new lifestyle a try. You might be surprised how few faults you see in yourself that you are willing to allow someone else to correct. The results will be so astonishing, you just might like yourself the way you are about to become. Beauty, health, and youthfulness are all connected. Your guide for deciding if you are doing the right thing should be–when you gain one, are the others victims?
There is no natural beauty without 100% natural food. The lack of beauty, especially in people over forty, is the result of the consumption of devitalized and denatured foods. Cooked food depletes the body’s enzyme reserves and damages its rejuvenating power. On the hand, the Rawsome Diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds in their raw state will help your body to make the most of its revitalizing abilities. By restoring the integrity of every cell and by facilitating the operation of every organ, it will bring your weight to its ideal mark, refine your features and add delicacy to your face.

Some Healthy Ways to Fight Acne
Acne is a major concern for most of the teenagers. It not only manifests physically but also leaves a deep emotional impact. Acne Vulgaris occurs when the pores of the skin become clogged with sebum, bacteria and dead cells. This usually occurs in adolescents and young adults as the hormonal changes in the body trigger the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. Speaking of emotional issues, the self- image is at risk in most of the cases. The person may feel shameful about the acne and start feeling bad about their own self and the way they look. Teenagers should understand their vulnerability and fight acne and the emotional issues associated with it in a healthy manner. Parents should also be supportive and make their teenager feel good about what he or she is.
Here are some of the healthy ways of fighting acne. Cleanliness is the first and foremost thing one with acne has to practice. Washing the hands and face five to eight times a day with mild soap will reduce bacteria on the skin surface and remove excess oil and dead cells from the skin. This will help prevent acne to a great extent. It is also essential to keep your hands and nails away from your face. Never try to squeeze acne or pull it out with your nails. It will not only worsen the acne but also leave a permanent mark. The skin also needs good nourishment to stay healthy. Eating good food, cutting out the grease from food and drinking plenty of water will help maintain a beautiful skin. Skin is nourished during sleep. Therefore good rest is necessary to maintain a healthy skin. Regular physical exercises are also essential for healthy skin as it improves blood circulation thus bringing more oxygen to the skin. Practicing relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga also helps in most cases with acne. It is important to practice the above tips everyday.
There are so many proven treatment options for acne both topical and systemic. Talking to someone with the same problem will help deal with the emotional issues to a great extent. Mutual counseling and exchange of tips help you feel good. Also, it should not be forgotten that acne is something that will vanish with time and age. However, if the person is severely depressed, it is advisable to seek professional help immediately before you do more harm to your self image. Building a positive self image and self concept is the main goal of psychological counseling when dealing with acne. The counselor will work with you and help you help yourself.
However taking good personal care and appropriate treatment would prevent damage to your physical and emotional self.

Laser Hair Removal: Toss the Razor?
Permanent Hair Removal with Lasers? Can You Really Kiss the Razor Bye Bye?
Permanent hair removal via new laser technology is quickly becoming the method of choice for thousands of women to permanently banish those long leg and underarm shaving sessions, and to leave them soft and smooth without wasting precious minutes every day. So, what is the cost of laser hair removal, and what does the process entail? Well, I will tell you…
First of all, not everyone is eligible for laser hair removal, so you should definitely consult with a specialist or specialist organization before you even consider this route for permanent hair removal.
While laser hair removal is much less expensive than the (somewhat painful) method of removing hair called electrolysis, some individuals may only be eligible for electrolysis due to physical and hair characteristics which make laser hair removal very difficult or impossible.
First of all, any person who is exceptionally dark in skin pigmentation would not be a good candidate for this procedure, and may want to look into alternatives to lasers to remove unwanted body or facial hair. Additionally, people with tanned skin and light hair, or people with generally very light hair would not be good candidates.
Cost of Laser Hair Removal?
The cost can vary considerably, depending on whether you choose to do a large area of your body, like your legs (which will cost considerably more), or just a small area, like facial hair above the lip and so on. Generally each session costs roughly $500 for smaller or medium size areas, and depending on the surface area covered will cost more per session, and require return sessions to get all of the hair removed.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
Well, I’ve got good and bad news here. You will require return treatments to keep the hair gone, and to get all of it, and contrary to what most people believe, you will not be able to hang up the razor forever, because you will still have a few stray hairs here and there. Trust me, it would be nearly impossible to get every single hair, maybe some day, but this technology has not come this far yet today. I will say this, you will be considerably smoother and have to worry about shaving way less though, so it’s still worth it.
And get this, while they know that laser hair removal makes your hair fall out, they still are not exactly sure why. In other words, there is conjecture that the laser action and heat below the surface of the skin breaks the hair follicle apart and destroys that hair permanently, but they don’t have 100% conclusive evidence of that theory yet. What happens after a laser treatment is that over the course of the next few weeks or months after treatment, the hair on the treated area just falls out. For whatever reason, laser hair removal tends to work best for people with a fair complexion and darker hair.
Interesting huh? So, if you were considering having your hair removed by a laser professionally, whether it be for your legs, or facial hairs or any other unwanted bodily hair, hopefully now you can go into it a little more educated!

The Right Time to Kiss Your Date
Some men may not know or do not have the slightest idea if
a woman is ready to be kissed. These men may be sitting
beside their dates talking too much they suddenly realize
how the lips of their dates are so kissable.
Their imagination will then take control, but this would
also mean disaster if done wrong. This may often leave
these men without a second chance for another date with the
woman.
If a guy finds himself talking to a girl and wondering if
she’s ready to be kissed, he may softly touch her hair and
give a compliment about it.
If the girl shows a favorable reaction, this may be a sign
of getting closer to a kiss. Get closer and try reaching
for her hair again.
Touch the hair tips and simply gaze on her lips and eyes.
The fact that she does not mind about you getting closer to
her is a sign that she is comfortable. This is a sign for a
guy to go and kiss the girl.
Some guys try to go out on an adventurous date in order to
make the kissing move more suave and natural. One
particular example is a guy who usually takes a girl to a
small boat ride on a river.
Upon sailing along the river, he happens to direct the boat
to a place covered with trees and fireflies - truly a
romantic place to kiss.
A guy can also take her date to some ancient ruins in a
local spot and manage to spend time walking until dark.
These ruins usually light up at night.
The guy can take his date to the top of the ruins where
they can see the city all beautifully lit up. This is when
the guy should make a move and kiss his date.

Muscle Gain - Why Less is More!
Your muscles can only grow bigger and stronger if they have sufficient recovery time in between workouts. If they are denied the proper recovery time, the muscle gain process simply cannot take place.
So in the gym you should aim to train with the minimum amount of volume needed to yield the desired response, and not a thing more.
Once you have pushed your muscles beyond their present capacity , you have done your job. Any further stress to the muscles of your body will simply increase your recovery time.
In the gym you often see people who train far too often and with more sets than they really need to. High intensity weight training is far more stressful to the body than most people imagine. so the workout programs can often actually hinder their gains and prevents them from making the rapid progress.
As a rule, you should train on 2 or 3 days a week only. Limit your workout to around an hour, and do around 4-8 sets for large muscle groups, and around3-4 sets for smaller muscle groups.
Follow these guidelines - training more often or for longer stretches at a time will be counterproductive.

Tooth Whitening - The Downside ….
Professional tooth whitening or bleaching -Dentists can whiten or bleach your teeth using either external techniques (where the bleach is placed outside of the tooth) and internal techniques (where the bleach is placed inside the tooth).
Can tooth whitening damage my teeth? -There is no hard evidence to suggest that tooth whitening in the form of bleaching is harmful to the gums, but it is not yet evident what the long-term effect on the nerves and blood vessels inside the teeth are.
Any dental treatment does carry a risk of potential side-effects, which can include sensitivity of the teeth to extremes of temperature, a sore throat, tender gums and white patches on the gums.
Such side-effects are not uncommon during or immediately after “laser” bleaching and should disappear in a few days. If the symptoms persist, you should go back to the practitioner who performed the treatment.
If you are considering tooth bleaching, and you have any tooth decay, this should be treated before starting the treatments. Your gums should be healthy, so if you have any gum disease this should be treated. If your teeth are already sensitive to hot and cold food or drinks, or if there are lots of fracture lines on your teeth, bleaching may not be recommended. Tooth bleaching will not work on false teeth, crowns, veneers or fillings.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid tooth bleaching, as should young children whose teeth are still growing.
If in doubt, always refer to professional advice, so your first call should be to your dentist.

Losing Weight the Healthy Way
Sooner or later almost everyone wants to lose a little weight, whether it is on health grounds or just wanting to look better. Whether it’s five pounds or a hundred pounds, losing weight can be very difficult and frustrating. Everyone is different but there are certain fundamentals which we must understand in order to lose weight and keep it off.
A good estimate of how much weight you need to lose (if any) is the body mass index, or BMI. The BMI takes into account your height and give you a weight range in which you should fall into. Determining your BMI will give you a good idea of how much weight you can safely lose, or if you don’t need to lose any.
There are so many diets around that it can seem very confusing which way is the best way to lose weight. Everyone has heard the many diet myths and many of us jump from diet fad to fad in hopes of permanently losing our excess weight. When it comes down to it weight loss is no great mystery. If the calories you consume in a day exceed the calories you use, you will gain weight. If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. If the calories consumed and used are approximately the same you will stay the same weight.
Most of us in the First World carry too much weight - If only we were aware of how damaging that is to our health and fitness - and indeed beauty - we would determine to shed those excess pounds.
