So you bought yourself a new PC!
So you bought a new PC for yourself or a relative during the holidays. There was the initial excitement about its speed and the nice screen – and then it came time to actually get it running. Which meant embarking on some real work -– downloading a browser, a couple of multimedia players, a PDF reader, a toolbar, and maybe something for voice and instant messaging. Don’t forget the anti-spyware and anti-virus apps – you’ve got to have those. Hours, maybe even days, go by. How many wizards have you clicked through, not to mention license agreements and preference pickers? And then you have to ask: did I get everything? And how am I going to keep all of this up to date?
This has been my experience too many times. I wanted to simplify the project. This led me to Google and Google Pack– a one-stop software package that helps you discover, install, and maintain a wide range of essential PC programs. It is easier for everyone. And it’s free.
It downloads in minutes and installs in just a few clicks. There’s only one license agreement – and no wizards. And there’s a tool called the Google Updater that keeps all the software in the Google Pack current. Even if you already have some of the software in the Pack, you can use the Google Updater to update and manage it.
And now the question for you is: what will you do with all that time you’ve saved?

Wholesaler? Or Dropshipper?
If you are thinking of setting up an online store, or selling on eBay big-time, then the single most important factor is - sourcing your products!
Most of the big online sellers link up with a number of reliable wholesalers, but many prefer a less intimidating approach.
First we’ll look at dropshipping, which is how most people want to begin their online selling business.
You do your research properly, and eventually find a wholesale supplier who is willing to dropship the products you want to sell, and you set up an account with them.
Your dropshipper supplies you with images and descriptions of the products you want to sell, and you upload them on your online store or auction site.
If you start promoting your site, customers will find your store or auction site, and perhaps order a product that priced at, say, $49, paying with their credit card. Your website charges their credit card $49 plus shipping.
You then email details of the order to your dropshipper, along with the customer’s name and address, who sends the item directly to your customer from the warehouse, with your business name on the package.
The dropshipper then charges you the wholesale price of, say, $27, plus shipping (you’ve already passed the shipping charge onto your customer, so the shipping costs you nothing).
Your new customer gets the product from your store or auction shipped to their door efficiently and profesionally packaged, and they recommend your website to their friends.
That’s the beauty of dropshipping - you never have to deal with the physical storing and handling of inventory.
And you still make a nice profit!

Best Web Hosting and Blogging –Reviewed
I didn’t know how good it could be until I opened a new account with….
I had been limping along for a couple of years before I made my move. I was making money online but I was really doing too many time consuming tasks that I really didn’t want or need to be doing.
The learning curve was huge and it didn’t need to be. You see I tried to go the cheap route and I ended up spending time with tasks that were not relevant to my revenue model.
How much is your time worth?
Is there a big difference between $3.00 a month and $7.00? Yes at $3.00 dollars a month you miss out on more family time and revenue because you spend more of your time doing non productive tasks. Heck I blow more than $7.00 on coffee!
The difference is $4.00 a month WOW and that $4.00 a month investment turned into more profits and additional time to enjoy what I enjoy most my loved ones. Profits and time a great combination.
I come from a technical background. But after the move I realized that I didn’t need to work so hard at the hosting part of my business
- The ease of servicing is very refreshing.
- The pricing is great.
- The uptime is great.
- The available options are great.
- Unlimited add on domains (when you grow you have the room)
Just having piece of mind and additional options to run my business make the pricing even more valuable. I now spend my time on more important events family, sharing with others and revenue building activities. I pay about $7.00 a month; well I pay by the year!
I host a several domains and now I can add more, my account comes with unlimited add on domains. More business more fun!
I know there are many different options out there for hosting and I will give MyHosting a HIGH rating. For the price I feel you can’t beat them.
My blogs are up and running and the setup was extremely easy. A couple of click and they were done. Blogs are fun and powerful tools. Do you have one you should?
Hosting has really showed me what a great hosting service is all about.
I only regret one thing I should have found them sooner.

Things to consider when buying a new computer
Should I buy Dell, HP or Toshiba?
What do you need to look for when buying a new PC? Should you look for the cheapest manufacturer, maybe something recommended by a friend? The only sure fired way is to do your research beforehand and buy for your basic needs.
There are so many brands available including Dell Computers, Toshiba, Acer and HP. All manufacturing a number of choices for desktop and laptop consumers. Use these steps to help you choose a manufacturer e.g. Dell
- Check the PC Magazine subscriber survey, published each July, for comprehensive information about reliability and customer satisfaction with individual brands.
- Buy a brand with above-average reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Be aware that manufacturers that have made personal computers for a shorter time will have misleadingly high scores.
- Choose a brand that offers a three-year parts-and-labor limited warranty, if possible.
- Select a brand that uses high-quality parts inside, unless price is your primary consideration. Do some research to find out which parts are better. Investigate the computer drives (hard disk, floppy disk, CD-ROM disc), internal cards (sound card, video card, network card), power supply, and the internal buses in addition to the type of processor.
- Support - Many computer manufacturers outsource their support. If you do not want to speak to foreign technical support, or just want it fixed, your best option would be to purchase a PC from a local PC builder. Usually a local company will remember you and your system and be much more help and more appreciative of your business. Support your local economy. Buy local!
- Warranties - Looking for a 3-year warranty is not very feasible, as many manufacturers offer only a 1-year warranty.
If you don’t want to end up cursing your computer and risk raising your blood pressure, it’s vital you get the help you need, so don’t overlook this when purchasing your computer hardware and software.
Whether you choose Dell, HP or any other computer be sure to do your own research first, buying a computer which does cater for your needs could mean disappointment.

Our lives are fast paced and over scheduled.
Where does time go? Without calendars, we really wouldn’t know what day it is. Custom promotional calendars help us sort through the blur of time, keep appointments and meetings, remember birthdays and anniversaries and basically organize our lives and make us more efficient. One promotional calendar per household isn’t enough anymore. At home, they can be found in the kitchen, next to a phone, in the bedroom, on the fridge, in a purse or wallet, the garage, or the computer room. At work, on a mouse pad, desk blotter, a wall, a weekly planner - and the list goes on! We need one for work, for school, our social lives, and for our kid’s social lives!
Billboard advertising:
The average custom t shirt is on someone’s back once a week and has many square inches of advertising space. Compared to most other promotional items, custom t shirts give you much more advertising message for your money!
What’s In A Domain Name? Everything!
That’s the motto of this brilliant new website offering domain names. ‘So what’s new?’ I hear you say. And you’re basically right - after all, domain vendors are a dime a dozen these days.
This one’s very different, though. Because what they are actually offering is a slew of vintage domains, many of them live and active. As you will probably know, the search engines strongly favor established domains that have been registered for a while, preferably a year or more. They simply enjoy more trust and authority in the search engines’ view.
So rather than waste your money on a cheap newly registered domain name, do go that extra mile and purchase one which may very well get you spidered and ranked instantly. Here, they’re not too expensive either, and it does help forego the hassle domain auctions will subject you to. Strongly recommended.
