Tattoo Designs: The Choice is Solely Yours

Posted in Adventurous Life by admin on the November 1st, 2008

How does it feel like to be tattooed? It is painful, alright. After all it is an art. Art needs emotions (which presumably cover pain!) to bring out the best from an art piece. The money aside, pain in tattooing is part of the investment.

And depending on the design of your tattoo, the process will get on more painful and painful. So please bear with it.

The more decorative or the more symbolic your tattoo design is, the more artistic it will get. Tattoo is simply a means of self-expression. It is after all, used among wide scopes of culture and its history runs down from ages to ages. And understandably, as the ‘ages’ went, the tattoo designs became more elaborate that some developed more like living artworks rather than simple accentuations imbedded into human skin.

There are literally myriad of tattoo designs that often leave customers overwhelmed. Let us take a look on some more popular designs these days so you and other people planning to get tattooed would have more defined ideas of what design to punch into the skin. Note: This isn’t easy and the process is equally not handy so focus on what you truly desire and work on it until the last point of the needle.

No culture in the world is more responsible with the development of the tattoo than the region of the Polynesia. The word itself came from its ancient language, which meant “to make a mark”.

The designs patterned from ancient ideas spotted in this region are normally referred to as tribal, one of the most intuitive and versatile designs there are. Aggressive bold lines and symmetrical patterns, tribal tattoos remain to be popular (and constantly working its way to extreme popularity) because it primarily allows the influence of other cultures, artists’ personal expression and fusion with other designs.

Scuba Tanks - Divers Best Friend

Posted in Sports & More, Adventurous Life by admin on the September 9th, 2008

Scuba tanks can be short and fat or long and skinny. Scuba tanks hold different amounts of air. Scuba tanks are made from steel or aluminum. Steel scuba tanks are more durable, although they are more expensive. Scuba tanks, also called diving cylinders, are containers that hold breathing gases in portable tanks that can be carried into the water. They allow divers to stay underwater for extended periods without having to surface for breathing.

Scuba tanks need to be inspected every five years, by law in the United States. In Europe, the mandate is every two years. Scuba Tanks are a cylinder container made from steel or aluminum. Scuba Tanks hold different amounts of air so It’s vital to select the right volume Scuba Tank as different sizes are made for different purposes. Scuba tanks are a must for any diver who prefers the freedom to dive on their own schedule. Although, compressed air doesn’t have an indefinate shelf life once it has been put into a diving cylinder, you can safely use your dive tank for up to a week without having to having to get a refill.

Aluminum tanks should never be filled above service pressure and never have a “+” stenciled on them. Aluminum tanks are lighter but are more prone to denting and minor damage. If you have been renting before buying, you should go with your own personal preference. Aluminum track 125 is then attached to vertical holder tube 105 by means of a flat bar bracket 120 attached by rivets on either side. The rivets are preferably flush on the inside of aluminum track 125 .

Aluminum cylinders are the most commonly used tanks in recreational diving and are the choice of technical and cave divers for use as stage and decompression bottles. The average working pressure of aluminum cylinders is 3000 psi. Aluminum tanks are now put through the “visual plus” eddy current based inspection process which detects potentially catastrophic cracks much earlier, before cracks are visible to the naked eye. Aluminum tanks are cheaper and come in more sizes to choose from. Aluminum scuba diving tanks are the most common diving tanks in the world. Luxfer tanks are the most popular tanks.

Steel tanks are even less likley to have issues, the only ones that have ever failed have been ones that had obvious, easily found deep corrosion issues. Some steel tanks from the ’40s are still getting filled today. Steel and heavy as heck. Problem is getting a fill adapter for em. Steel diving cylinders are often painted, to reduce corrosion , mainly yellow or white to increase visibility. In some industrial cylinder identification colour tables, yellow shoulders means chlorine and more generally within Europe it refers to cylinders with Toxic and/or Corrosive contents; but this is of no significance in SCUBA since gas fittings would not be compatible.

Photography & Traveling

Posted in Web Of Photography, A Life Of Leisure, Adventurous Life by admin on the August 21st, 2008

One of the most popular uses of personal cameras is taking photographs while traveling. Tourist attractions and beautiful, but foreign scenery are both good candidates for vacation shots. Taking photographs while on the move is a great way to capture the moments for later.

When choosing a camera for travel photography, there are several features to consider.

Firstly, the camera should be easy to both use and carry. A large multi-function camera may be good for professional photography, but makes for unwieldly vacation photography. A compact digital camera is a good choice.

Secondly, the camera should not be too expensive, because luggage often gets displaced on a vacation. A cheap entry level digital camera can easily be replaced if it gets lost for some reason.

The Las Vegas of Online Gambling

Posted in A Life Of Leisure, Gambling World, Adventurous Life by admin on the June 4th, 2008

Las Vegas is almost a synonym for gambling in the real world, having also been called the gambling capital. When one moves to gamble online, one has to wonder where the Las Vegas of the online world of gambling is.

Because of the vastness of the world wide web, the freedom to log on from anywhere in the world and the healthy amount of competition online, there is no real capital of web based gambling. However, there are some web sites that should be noticed, ones that draw the players with a wide range of services and a promise of great riches.

The hubs of online poker are perhaps the best knows gambling portals of the net. With the surging popularity of Texas Hold’em and some other poker variants, online poker has an increasingly large share in the online gambling industry.

The poker portals of note are sites such as Party Poker, which has one of the largest groups of players, and Poker Stars, which is considered by many to be the most reliable and respected poker room. Nevertheless, hundreds, if not thousands of poker rooms exist today. The massive growth of Internet poker is a great example of how the net changes gambling.

All in all, there is no Las Vegas in the online world of gambling. Despite the emergence of popular hubs, there is just no single web site that could rise above others in a niche. The market is also highly unstable, with new sites springing up every week and old ones closing almost as often.

Whereas in the offline world your choice of locale for gambling activities is often a given, the online world presents you with a multitude of choices no single player can hope to thoroughly analyze. The most popular way is to try around until you find a site to your liking. There is surely a favorite for everyone among the many alternatives.

One way to quickly find out about poker web sites is to read poker room reviews. That way you get to know the pros and cons of many poker rooms without having to go through the trouble of finding about them for yourself.

Choosing a Suitable Cruise Line

Posted in Travel Tips, A Life Of Leisure, Adventurous Life by admin on the April 17th, 2008

Including a cruise is a really nice way to have an all-inclusive vacation. When you are planning your cruise, you need to consider a few things before you make your final selection.

1. Occasion

Is your vacation just a normal one? or is it for special cause? If this is a romantic getaway, your preference should be for a cruise that is more suited to adults rather than children.

2. Group

Are you going with all adults,or will there be some children as well? If children are a part of the group you should ensure that there are activities for children onboard ship so that they will have a good time too. You will also want to look into childcare facilities.

3. Interests

What things you are interested in? Some people like to shop, while some others like swimming or watch shows. Decide accordingly when selecting the cruise liner.

4. Destination

Where would you like to go? Do you have some place tropical in mind, or would you like to go to Alaska and go whale watching? What type of outdoor activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing do you prefer?

5. Talk to friends and family

Contact all those among your acquaintances who have  gone on cruises and learn about their experiences with the cruise ship they chose. This is one of the best ways to get a good review of their level of service.

6. Use the World Wide Web

Another handy way to rank different cruise ships is to go on the Internet and read about the experiences that other people have had. Do not discount a cruise ship because of one bad experience but read all of the comments to see if the negative experience was isolated.

7. Talk to travel agents

When you have shortlisted a few cruise ships, go and talk to a travel agent. Remember this is a last resort, because travel agents are not unbiased in their opinions.

It is always a good idea to do some research before you select a cruise ship. Because, you nearly already know what you are getting into, and there will not be any surprises when you are on your vacation.

Villa Holidays on the Algarve

Posted in Food And More, Fish + Bait, Commerce Success, Creativity, Adventurous Life by admin on the March 20th, 2008

When it comes to holidays - like everything else there are a load of choices open to you - from paragliding in new guinea to deep sea diving off the coast of montreal - whichever suits you its good that the net helps you get a good idea of the place before you book anything or pack your bags for your algarve villa.

Like a lot of british holiday makers I tend to opt for higher end destinations - because a lot of other british people go for the lower end ones - giving us a bad name in places like ibiza and mexico - this makes places like Carvoeiro really excellent for a short trip away. I have a favourite place there - its a little Algarve villa Carvoeiro with an exceptional view of the ocean, a really nice local atmosphere and a golf course just down the road that is superb.

It has to be one of my more favourite kinda british places to go abroad for a holiday - the algarve as a rule is very good.

Pit Biking in the soul

Posted in College Education, Content Is King, Children, Adventurous Life by admin on the March 19th, 2008

Is pitbiking in your soul? or just your soil? - I have been pitbiking for over 2 years now and I can’t stop - its what I love doing - it makes me happy and I love it. I am into my third series of pitbiking videos that I make by strapping a little camera to the front and back of my pit bike then doing crazy stunts over at my mates house.

My pitbiking videos are pretty popular with the kids who like the fact that I do stunts that aren’t too crazy but still look awesome when filming them with a wide angle lense strapped to a camera strapped to my 125cc pit bike. I have to say that the video editing is becoming sloppier but who cares - bikers aren’t exactly clean people!
